Plan for turen
Drive to Chogoria, then trek 10 km through bamboo forest to reach Mount Kenya Bandas. Dinner & overnight in nature.
Hike a scenic trail via Lake Ellis with views of Mugi and the highlands. Camp by the lake, away from the crowds.
Trek along a ridge with jaw-dropping views of Gorges Valley. Camp near the dramatic “Temple” cliff perfect for a short walk before bed.
Start at 3 AM to reach the summit at sunrise. Descend to Shipton Camp for breakfast, then continue through Mackinder’s Valley to Liki North for a well-earned rest.
Final descent to Old Moses Camp and return to Nairobi by late afternoon.
