Tour Plan

Jour 01 Arrival & Lamu Old Town Discovery

Fly from Nairobi to Manda Airport, followed by a short boat transfer to your hotel in Lamu Old Town or Shela Village. Set out on a guided walking tour through Lamu’s historic alleys, exploring Swahili architecture, mosques, and Lamu Fort. In the evening, enjoy a sunset stroll along the promenade and a traditional Swahili dinner.

Jour 02 Swahili Cooking & Beach Leisure

Start your day with a Swahili cooking class, learning to prepare coastal favorites like pilau and mahamri. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Shela Beach or enjoy an optional camel ride. In the evening, opt for a scenic dhow cruise with light coastal snacks.

Jour 03 Island Adventure & Local Legends

Sail on a traditional dhow to nearby islands, visiting the ancient Takwa Ruins on Manda. Enjoy a beach picnic and optional swim or snorkel. Return to Lamu for an evening of storytelling, with an optional local music night to close the day.

Day 04 Markets & Farewell

Spend your final morning shopping for spices and handmade crafts. Visit the Lamu Museum or Donkey Sanctuary if time allows. Take a boat back to Manda Airport for your flight to Nairobi, filled with memories of Lamu’s rich culture and charm.
